EDM fans are ready for the return of Spring Awakening Music Festival this weekend

Fri. October 1, 2021

With a shift to fall, Spring Awakening Autumn Equinox returns Oct. 2 and 3

Electronic music will flood Addams/Medill Park this weekend as Spring Awakening Music Festival (SAMF), the largest all-electronic music festival in the Midwest, returns for its 10th year.

The jam-packed, two-day all-electronic music festival experience will feature the biggest lineup in the festival’s 9.5-year history with more than 70 artists performing across four unique stages, demonstrating a dynamic variety of genres within the electronic music spectrum.

Headliners include Martin Garrix, Excision, Diplo, Galantis, RL Grime b2b Baauer, Dillon Francis, Madeon, Zomboy, AC Slater, Shiba San, Sofi Tukker DJ Set, and more.

SAMF will also feature silent discos, laser light shows, experiential activations and afterparties. Organizers also promise many more surprises.

LiveXLive will be live streaming the festival and will feature exclusive pre-and post-show coverage and live interviews with artists, managers, and attendees from LiveZone, LiveXLive’s original franchise that will bring an immersive fan experience to SAMF.

The move this year to Oct. 2 and 3 was to accommodate COVID-19 constraints, which are still playing a part. In accordance with guidance from the City of Chicago, organizers will require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for entry to the festival.

Spring Awakening is an 18+ festival and attendees will be required to show a government-issued photo ID upon entry.

Tickets and more information, including the full COVID-19 policy, are available online at springawakeningfestival.com.
