U.S. Treasury Secretary Pete Buttigieg and husband Chasten introduced their newborn babies on social media on Saturday, a girl and boy.
"We are delighted to welcome Penelope Rose and Joseph August Buttigieg to our family," the pair said on Instagram.
The former mayor of South Bend, Ind. and former schoolteacher in Chicago and Milwaukee, Pete and Chasten met in 2015 through a dating app and were married in 2018.
Sec. Buttigieg shared on social media last month that he and Chasten would become parents.
"For some time, Chasten and I have wanted to grow our family," they expressed.
