San Francisco -
We all know San Francisco is the gayest city in America.
But is Columbus, Ohio really gayer than Miami or Los Angeles?
A demographer at UCLA says that small towns like Portland (Maine and Oregon) and Springfield, Mass. have a far greater "Gay/Lesbian" index than some big cities like New York.
Chicago doesn't make the top 20.
The "Gay/Lesbian" index is based on the proportion of gay and lesbian couples compared to the overall population.
