A plan for an eight-story hotel, national chain stores and apartments across from Wrigley Field got the go-ahead today from the City Council.
The unanimous approval came despite complaints by some residents and business owners that the Addison Park on Clark development will "suburbanize" the neighborhood around the iconic ballpark.
Ald. Thomas Tunney, 44th, supported the plan for the south side of Addison Street and east side of Clark Street, saying it will help diversify the neighborhood's shopping options.
