Kit Kat marks a new territory on Halsted Street

Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club has evolved into the Kit Kat Club while still continuing a solid legacy of satisfying customers who crave entertainment in a dining room setting. The team first opened their doors in 2000 and 25 years later, have found a new door to open just down the street.

Only a few blocks south of where they were stationed lies the new location at 3524 North Halsted Street. The real estate was purchased by owners Edward Gisiger and Ramesh Ariyan, who have wisely decided to keep their establishment in the queer focused area of Lakeview.

Now with a 2,600 square foot space, there's more room for guests and enough seating for 240 people on multiple levels. The layout could benefit from future expansion, as the narrow passage from front to back can bottleneck at the main bar during peak activity. Plans are in the works for an outdoor area to open up in the spring and this will allow more options for patrons to spread their wings. 

There's a cozy booth for spinning tunes and video screens to add more state-of-the-art technology to the room. The marble countertops, gold touches and Art Deco influences are effective in creating an elegant atmosphere.

Lighting is incredibly important when throwing a party and the creators of Kit Kat took that into account. The ambiance can be easily adjusted to suit any occasion with a range of colors and highlights.

The Kit Kat curators are thinking outside of the box and are determined to shake up the popular programming of drag brunches and showcase other aspects of the entertainment world.

Singers, musicians, dancers and DJs are currently slated to appear throughout each month and shift with the seasons. Reservations are recommended and try a VIP experience accompanied by special prix fixe menus.

Special happy hour libations and unique refreshments are updated regularly. Non alcoholic drinks could use a boost on the current beverage menu, but the outstanding cocktail creations continue to please even the pickiest client. Be patient while ordering the complex martini recipes, which can be a challenge to concoct, even for skilled bartenders like Chuck Hart, who started with the company 20 years ago. People like him and drag artist Kinley Preston have given their lives to making this Kat a success and should be celebrated.

Cats tend to sleep during the day and come out at night, just like at Kit Kat. When looking for a hot spot on Halsted, there's no other like this “Pink Pony Club.”
