French-focused restaurant Bar La Rue, 820 West Fulton Street, is highlighting a happy hour menu these days that has guests begging for more. This budding hotspot in Chicago is surrounded by flowers and growing with new items.

Rue is another effort springing from the collaborative minds of the DineAmic Hospitality group, a team that has brought to life successful endeavors such as Bar Siena, Bandit and Bodega. Begin your adventure to France with some bubbly at nine dollars a glass or a $36 bottle. Make it a rosé day that pours into the night with the Francois Montand.

For those that don't partake of spirits then sip on the Echanté made with a non-alcoholic apertivo and garnished with a sprig of rosemary.

From 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday this happy hour will have patrons dining on delectable seafood dishes and delicious dairy-filled delights.

Mondays offer a shuck-off with a Shellfish Tower at $30 per person and at least a two-diner requirement. This mouthwatering eyeful and Eiffel towering treat stacks king crab, and oysters plus poached shrimp and lobster on top of each other.

Go raw or go home with chilled oysters all sold separately at two dollars each complete with accompaniments such as a tangy cocktail sauce to add to the fishy flavor.

For mains try the roasted half chicken or the Royale with Cheese, a smash burger topped with sharp American cheese, caramelized onions and a sliced dill pickle. The Provence Style hamburger will arrive swimming in gruyere cheese fondue and creamy goodness!

To pair with that there is a cheesy fondue experience for two to dip veggies and sourdough bread into an aged cheddar concoction. Add some crispy frites to make it even more hearty.

The welcoming staff and bright decor add to this upscale establishment. With weather permitting one can enjoy outdoor seating under the shaded pergola featured right on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. The hours are convenient for late-night eaters with business hours lasting until midnight every day and an additional extra hour on Fridays and Saturdays

Come see why Bar La Rue is flourishing an area of the city that is simply blossoming with popularity every day.
