The RISE Mundelein Lounge rocked out with reefer and State Champs on Feb. 23, 2024, in the afternoon. RISE Recreational Dispensary Mundelein, 1325 Armour Blvd. is one of the many places in Illinois to purchase medical and recreational marijuana. The cannabis plant has a wide range of effects on an individual and there is much to learn about it. Anyone over the age of 21 years old with valid identification may enter the premises to explore what is sold.

The staff at facilities such as this one can educate shoppers on the world of therapeutic marijuana and what is in store for the future. Guests can partake on the premises of this particular establishment in a designated spot.

While there is still stigma and ignorance about weed, this is all swiftly changing along with the laws in each individual state.

The population, including the artist community, is coming out of the closet about their use and support of the industry. Rythm Artist Series cultivates this relationship to bring attention to strains of weed while connecting the product to musicians such as New York pop-punk band State Champs. Now on their fourth album, the group played at the RISE Dispensary and then met with fans after the performance. “Outta My Head” is a song from their latest record Kings of the New Age and now an exclusive brand sold at RISE. This hybrid relieves anxiety and stress for those weighed down by thinking too much.

For Pride month Rythm will continue to partner with local LGBTQ+ organizations to support the growth of safe spaces for the community. In 2023, the company worked with Brave Space Alliance on the South Side of Chicago to create more awareness of all parties involved.
