The magic of Disney has arrived in the Windy City to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the entertainment brand. This centennial celebration is located at the Exhibition Hub Art Center, 2367 West Logan Boulevard, in Chicago, Illinois with 20,000 square feet of space. Fans can take in a whole day of Disney if desired by exploring the 10 galleries first then they may take an easy stroll over to watch Wish, Disney Animation Studios' latest musical project, at the nearby Regal City North theater on Western Avenue.

The company is known for its film studio division Walt Disney Studios which also produces Pixar and Marvel Studio projects. This center contains a treasure trove of over 250 artifacts housed in a modern space.

Begin at the ticket counter and a photo shoot at the front. No outside drinks or food are permitted once guests enter the holding area to view a brief video. The curtain is pulled back after to see the start of the classic company as onlookers can take their time while learning about the history of Disney through the decades.

This special exhibit generates high-tech gadgetry to elevate the immersive experience and ticket holders will find several stops along the way with backdrops for photos. There are rollercoaster remnants and relics leftover from Disney's past projects in every corner. “Just keep swimming” to find Nemo and The Little Mermaid's garment worn by Halle Bailey in the live-action version of the popular cartoon.

Star Wars and Marvel Universe diehards can rejoice with chances to see costumes and props up close. Animation stills are works of art curated throughout the winding path to enjoy. This allows an education in the legacy of what Walt and the team have created in the past 100 years.

The museum empties into a gift shop at the end that's packed with Mickey Mouse merchandise plus much more.

In the United States there are currently two Disney theme parks, one on each coast, the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida and the Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. The iconic company is planning a new 24-acre property targeted at adults titled Storyliving in Rancho Mirage, just southeast of Palm Springs. Meanwhile, the Midwest has this unique opportunity to learn locally about the mouse and much more.

London also has a Disney100: The Exhibition currently running and Kansas City is slated to open in May of 2024. Philadelphia and Munich have hosted the exhibit in the past.

The future continues to burn bright for Disney as the company evolves with more diverse characters and celebrations of cultural heritage.

Possible dates to visit the exhibit are now offered through January 2024, but let's wish upon a star that hopefully dreams can come true for an extension.
