Red Bull Dance Your Style is a global dance competition bringing together diverse styles and people in various venues. The crowd decides the results after judging a mix of street dances.
People-watching is taken to a whole new level as local talent and competitors warm up on the dance floor before events begin. This builds a community full of support and growth among the spectators. In 2022, 60 competitors from over 30 countries went head to head for only eight spots in the final round.
On February 22, 2023, Red Bull Dance Your Style kicked off in Chicago with festivities featuring Red Bull mocktails, a buffet and big announcements.
Openly gay house music legend Derrick Carter and RP Boo provided the tunes throughout the evening at Smartbar, 3730 North Clark Street.
Red Bull gave the crowd wings as some dancers appeared to be flying in the air at times. Last year's winner Kid Nimbus was just one of the attendees who busted out some fresh material in the spontaneous dance circle.
Later in the evening, it was announced that the Red Bull Dance Your Style National Finals will be held in Chicago on May 20, 2023, at The Salt Shed, 1357 North Elston Avenue. There will be 16 finalists competing at the space and anticipation is quickly growing for the spring event.
An after-party followed at The Gman Tavern, 3740 North Clark Street, where the hyped crowd tried to wind down after so many energy drinks.
Austrian company Red Bull continues to grow in leaps and bounds while expanding across the world in unique events such as Dance Your Style.
