The English speaks to western fans on Amazon

Produced by the BBC and Amazon Prime, The English is a sprawling western tale depicted over the course of six episodes. Emily Blunt portrays Lady Cornelia Locke, an Englishwoman seeking revenge for her dead son. Chase Spencer stands out as Eli Whipp, a former cavalry scout who is trying to reclaim his land. The two of them have a strong chemistry together that is undeniable.

A series of adventures unfold that will keep audiences guessing as to what will happen next. The writers have not only made The English unpredictable but compelling as well.

Throughout the journey, Locke and Whipp meet some despicable characters that are downright scary. This American horror story tackles subjects such as racism, misogyny and misused power. The talented cast explores this uncomfortable landscape as skilled professionals.

This miniseries hits the target when shooting many difficult scenes. For those that invest their time, people will be rewarded with a show that resonates for many moons to come.

With The English being a limited series with a clear ending, there will most likely not be a season two.
