American Writers Museum hosted Ziggy and Orly Marley for a reading and autograph session for the couple's latest project Little John Crow. The husband and wife have created a children's book that everyone can relate to. After being abandoned by his animal friends, Crow finds a new chosen family and a new community.

On the second floor of 180 N. Michigan Avenue on August 14, the authors read several chapters of their new book to the audience in the room.

They then answered questions from the audience. The duo cleverly used names from real-life people such as Russell Crowe and Sheryl Crow to name the parents of Little John Crow. Ziggy confessed that although he knows Sheryl personally he hasn't told her yet about the character. He stated that she would probably have no problem with her name being used in the story.

The Jamaican singer was scheduled to perform the same day at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Illinois. I asked him what his favorite thing is about touring constantly and he said he enjoys travel and the people he meets along the way.

The Marley family continues to exude positivity in a sometimes negative world. With smiles on their faces, the duo signed books and posed for pictures with fans until everyone was satisfied that afternoon.

Little John Crow illustrated by Gordon Rowe is currently sold in hardcover on various platforms.
