Smelling the rainbow at Pride in the Park

A new product called VYV offered free smells at Pride in the Park this past June. VYV is a new company producing smelling salts in a handy dandy bottle with a goal to wake up America! VYV is a reference to the word revive and not an acronym for anything.

Three friends banded together over a small bottle of reusable chemicals dedicated to adding oxygen to the brain. For those that are not familiar, smelling salts have been used for decades harkening back to the Roman Empire. When people felt faint, they used a combination of ammonia, water and ethanol to recover. In modern times, it is often used with sports players and can provide anxiety relief.

The folks at VYV have added aromas of peppermint to give a fresh feel to their pocket-sized product. Once opened the vial lasts around 30 days and is made to take on the go. The company is smart to reach out to the gay community as it is well versed with inhalants over the years.

As far as safety goes, the Center for Disease Control has found no adverse effects from low levels of exposure. High levels of exposure can certainly cause problems such as irritation to the body so pursue it in moderation. The noxious smells can cause a reflex in the nose so some find it irritating while others just enjoy the calmness provided.

Just like any ammonia product, VYV packs a punch that is not for everyone, but they have eased into the process with a hint of peppermint.

Try it for yourself by ordering at MyVYV.com or Amazon.com and smell what everyone is talking about!
