Streeterville Social elevates the fun this summer

Located as part of the Loews Chicago Hotel, 455 N Park Drive, Streeterville Social is a rooftop terrace that just opened for the summer. The Bistro there seves high quality food Wedenesdays through Sundays.

Some items I explored recently was the crispy calamari, the summer corn flatbread and the Social burger. Finding shishito peppers in Chicago can be a scavenger hunt, but this place has them for guests served with a delicious aioli sauce. I especially enjoyed the fries served with the burger as they had a firm texture and solid flavor to them, making them stand out from typical potatoes.

I have attended several gatherings over the years in the breathtaking space known as The Event Terrace, with over 7,500 square feet of room for up to 600 guests. The spacious environment is certainly condusive to its title, creating a place to mingle with people in a prime location with the dynamic Streeterville area.

Pop in for a drink at the bar when you are on the way to a movie across the street at the AMC River East 21 or stop by while walking to the nearby Navy Pier.

For those fans of the movie Mean Girls, a We Drink Pink beverage menu has rolled out for Wednesdays from open to close with special cocktails, wine and snacks. The Let's Get Fizzical must be tried with an interesting combo of Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit Rose, Aperol and Lunetta prosecco.

Streeterville Social is simply a success because of the winning combination of a spectacular view, superior staff and smartly executed cuisine. It is easy to see why people return for more visits.
