Breathe that open AIRE while you can

Located at 100 W. Monroe Street on the 24th floor of the Hyatt Centric The Loop Chicago, AIRE Restaurant has one of the best views of the city. It's the perfect place to relax after a long week for locals and a hot spot for those visiting out-of-town guests.

A 4,000 square foot painted mural covers the wall outside the venue making an impressive backdrop for patrons to sit at cozy tables and couches along the modern patio. You might want to pack a light jacket depending on the time of year just in case the unpredictable temperatures of Chicago drop outside. Heaters and fire pits are strategically placed outside, along with umbrellas for sun protection, to combat the sometimes challenging weather of the Windy City.

Light bites are the only way to go while on this rooftop and AIRE has something special for everyone. Dip into delicious spinach and artichokes smothered in cheese with a mix of of both pita and tortilla chips. The grass-fed beef sliders were quite memorable with horseradish aioli and bacon jam. There are several flatbreads to choose from on the small plate menu, so enjoy.

The bartenders obviously know how to make a good craft cocktail. The spicy mezcal margarita will perk you up, so pace yourself with that one as it was powerfully strong. The Farmers Market Lemonade was hands down a favorite that was lighter and demanded repeat orders. It can be made without liquor if that is preferred.

A robust wine selection is another option, along with some excellent beers to choose from, such as the Half Acre Daisy Cutter or Revolution Anti Hero. There's lots to sip on while taking in the stellar view under the sun thanks to a well thought out beverage list.
