After 10 seasons on NBC, the television sitcom Friends has left a massive mark on culture and created tons of loyal fans over the years. The show with a simple concept brought huge notoriety and big money to the stars that played quirky characters, Monica (Courteney Cox), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Ross (David Schwimmer), Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow).

It is about time that Chicagoans have an opportunity to be fully immersed in The FRIENDS Experience 26 years later. Thanks to Superfly X, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Warner Bros. Television Group we now have a chance to view original scripts and costumes up close and personal.

Opening on Oct. 1, The FRIENDS Experience has 12 packed rooms full of memorabilia that visitors can explore safely with timed ticket entry at $35, plus taxes and fees or special private access for groups of six or 10. Not only are the individual rooms constantly Monica cleaned and mask enforced, but hand sanitizer and wipes are in every nook and cranny. Guests can also feel good that a portion of every ticket sold will be donated to My Block, My Hood, an organization that assists seniors who are impacted due to the current virus.

Upon entering, people have the opportunity to shop for books, shirts, hats and novelty items. Cases keep messy hands away from the souvenirs, so just ask a salesperson at the register for a brand new item once selected.

The iconic orange couch from Central Perk has several prominent spots in the exhibition, both in a Lego form set at the coffeehouse and a fabric form posed in front of the fountain. A set designer found the original couch in the basement of Warner Bros. Studios by chance.

There are plenty of Instagrammable moments along the path, including Miami Vice photo ops and even the "ugly naked guy" has a presence.

During a trying time in our country, this exhibit is a welcome distraction. The hit show that was nominated for 62 Primetime Emmy Awards has a fitting homage to the legacy that people of all ages and generations can enjoy in a new way.

Reserve a ticket today at FriendsTheExperience.com and visit The Shops at North Bridge on the Magnificent Mile at 540 N. Michigan Ave. Remember, "Joey doesn't share food," so don't carry any grub in with you!
