Halloween Happenings Around Chicagoland

It felt like the Halloween holiday snuck up on Chicago in 2019. Locals didn't want the warm weather to go away as they held on to summer clothes each day. There's always plenty to do in the Windy City om the scariest month of the year and one highlight is the upcoming parade on Halsted Street. On Oct. 31 the 23rd Annual Haunted Halsted Halloween Parade kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and travels north to Brompton where winners are announced and a dance party continues until revelers drop dead from exhaustion!

Expect the bar scene in Boystown to be packed and cash prizes will be raked in with the right creative costume!

Head north to see a fun Halloween show by Hell in a Handbag Productions at Mary's Attic, running now through Nov. 2. The Facts of Life- Satan's School for Girls has Ed Jones starring as Mrs. Edna Garrett and a full cast of both new and old fan favorites.

Head West for the 13th Floor Chicago Haunted House at 1940 George Street where tickets are still available. Guests will experience a nice amount of scare time as they journey through the various rooms.

At times it's a bit of a rollercoaster as some expected surprises are bound to happen. If you have a fear of clowns, this might not be the place for you, boo!

The wndr Museum at 1130 W. Monroe St. is a place just begging to be photographed.

There's a recent After Dark: Fall Frenzy event that turns down the lights and has crowds more relaxed from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Visit wndrmuseum.com for tickets for more upcoming dates of After Dark on Nov. 15 and 16.

All during the month of November, wndr is hosting a canned food drive for the UI Health Food Pantry and there's free admission for veterans and their families from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Veteren's Day, Nov. 11.

The fun doesn't seem to stop at wndr with video game competition on Nov. 21 with only $8 to play and a champion to be crowned. Look for more special events on the website!
