There's a new spot with the catchy name Red Fish, Bleu Fish that opened in Hyde Park at 5121 S. Harper Ave. The casual and inviting atmosphere is brought to us from Porkchop creator Jovanis Bourgoub.

The food mixes Mediterranean, New Orleans and the Pacific Islands all together to bring something new to the table.

Start off with the P.E.I. Mussels Pot complete with Atlantic mussels, garlic, chili in a white wine sauce.

There's a creamy seafood chowder in a bread bowl and several salads to choose from such as the citrus quinoa salad that is freshly put together with oranges, bell peppers and onions.

The Moroccan Chicken is a must try item. Diners will immediately be able to tell that it's slow cooked as it falls off the bone. The Iranian saffron and fine herbs combine for a unique taste. After working in a Mediterranean for five years, I was very impressed with this dish so that says a lot.

There are some street food style items offered that are unique also such as the cheesy cajun lobster fries and a lobster and shrimp burrito.

Sides to dive into include the truffle mac n' cheese and the brussel sprouts pancetta.

Finish everything with the chocolate cake and wash it down with a tropical cocktail.

The staff is very attentive and will make diners feel right at home in the open space. Choose a booth and people watch the outside area that will be open in the upcoming warm months.
