Located in the former Jane's space at 1655 W. Cortland, Mable's Table makes a great meal. Chef Anthony Reyes has a concept that returns him to his roots. Inspired by his family, he's created a dining experience that began with momma Mabel who would talk to friends while cooking. That feeling carries over now with an open kitchen concept and a welcoming attitude in the friendly staff.
There are two large rooms that quickly fill up with diners. The brunch is already a huge success thanks to dishes like the vanilla crunch French toast and the tasty prime rib skillet. They had me at grand marnier syrup!
From 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. there is really not a bad item on the brunch menu to pick from. This really begs for a return visit to try dinner. Diners finally don't have to go Downtown to find high quality food and parking is easy in this quaint surrounding neighborhood.
The experienced barstaff can whip up any cocktail and smarty have a bloody Mary concoction to match the hangover cheesy jalapeno hash. While located a little off the beaten path, this is the place to be on the weekends.
Reservations are recommended for this bustling hot spot by calling 773-904-7433 or visiting online at MablesTable.com.
Be sure and tell the owner Anthony Reyes a Nunn sent you!
