Jake Melnick's Corner Tap has some incredible comfort food. Known for the best wings around, Chef Nick Santangelo is trying something new this time around. While they have had a veggie burger made with black beans and brown rice in the past, this is entirely plant based. Two sliders are now offered and topped with American cheese, pickles and chipotle lime aoli. Impossible Foods has created an environmentally friendly burger that kills no cows.

While I didn't think it tasted like a regular burger, it is uniquely its own thing and indeed quite tasty. Served with fries for $11.95, this is something everyone should at least try once for that price.

While at 41 East Superior Street make sure to dive into the fried oreos for dessert. I felt I was back in the south having a deep fried moment with these pancake battered bombshells.

Make sure and visit this late night kitchen this holiday season while you are out celebrating.

Another fun casual place that is open late at night is the Hubbard Inn located at 110 W. Hubbard St.

They just introduced a new menu full of delights including a seafood platter full of oysters, crab legs, shrimp, and lobster. Executive chef Matthew Wilde has a grass fed bison burger and spaghetti meatballs on the menu to warm a person up for the winter.

To keep guests entertained while they dine there is also a live music series held on the first floor. A late night menu is specially offered with details at HubbardInn.com. Stop in to see what it's all about in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
