The upscale Brazilian steakhouse Texas de Brazil is stepping up for a good cause. Currently now through Sept. 30 the churrascarias are donating one dollar from every dessert to American Red Cross and hurricane relief with a minimum donation of $25,000 guaranteed.
Upon on walking through the doors one immeditately spots the massive salad bar with over 50 items. It is easy to fill up on the soup and salad but hold out until the main event.
The men bring their meat and watch for diner's cards to be flipped from green for more or red to stop the serving. The pacanha was my personal favorite meat but there plenty to suit every taste.
There are side dishes to accompany the selections like garlic mashed and the fried bananas.
To wash things down sip on a caipirinha made with cachaca rum. There are classes on how to make them offered to guests by the experts. Just bring your muddler and start mashing!
If all that is not enough don't forget cram down a nice slice of pie for a worthy cause.
The staff was recently spotted at the Chicago Gourmet event in Millenium Park serving up steak and cous cous. Some of the hardest workers in the restaurant business devote their time and energy to make this chain a success.
