JN: (Jerry Nunn) Great to see you, Naysha Lopez. I saw perform at SEVEN Nightclub and you were so good.
NL: (Naysha Lopez) Thank you.
JN: What do you think about the drag in Chicago?
NL: Chicago has opened up it's door to all kinds of drag. It is definitely going to that realness and that fishy queen, that dancer, entertainer type of thing. There is a little bit of old school with a modern edge to it.
JN: Aren't you the only pageant queen this season?
NL: There are a few that have dabbled but I am on the only one that won Miss Continental!
JN: Was your being from Puerto Rico highlighted in the show?
NL: Totally. I feel Puerto Rico is so supportive, being where I am originally from. Chicago is my home so I bring both places in a sense.
JN: Do you have a favorite Chicago Latin restaurant?
NL: My kitchen! Once a week I have a family day and all of my family come over. I cook all of this Puerto Rican food. Anytime you want some Puerto Rican food come over to my house and I will make you some mcomofongo.
JN: I need to get there.
NL: For sure!
JN: What is your go to lip sync song these days?
NL: The one I am lip syncing to today is "How Deep is Your Love" with the Calvin Harris mix. I love the song and the beat. It is very easy to dance to.
JN: That is a great version. What is one thing you took away from the RuPaul Drag Race experience?
NL: I went in there with an open mind and I am open to many different drag aesthetics now. I always have been but now even more so. I have a much better appreciation for all types of drag.
JN: Thank you so much!
