The New 54

Located on the Northside of Andersonville at 5420 N Clark is Brasserie 54 by LM replacing the previous restaurant Premise.
This is the newest venture from LM Restaurant Group who brought Chicago LM Bistro and Troquet.
The place is very narrow with pop up tables in the middle. The decor is modern with a rustic feel to it. It was very busy for two servers the evening I went so business must be good.

Chef Brad Phillips has concocted a menu with local ingredients. There is a strong charcuterie menu that seems to be all the rage these days including duck breast, garlic sausage and french styled ham.
Start with the lyonnaise or the tartare with sea bream.
With the cold weather nothing is heartier than beef bourguignon with mushrooms and bacon or go for the hanger steak with french fries.

There is wine by the glass with a big selection to choose from for only $8 to wash the whole thing down.
Watch the budget with a daily $25 prix fixe menu. So lots of things to offer to a place that keeps things simply French inspired and tasty in the neighborhood.
