Live in Concert

This week there were lots of live concerts to take in. Some artists have not been to Chicago in years.
Amy Ray who I spoke with (http://chicago.gopride.com/news/interview.cfm/articleid/365625)
did her solo show away from The Indigo Girls at Lincoln Hall. She had a really nice crowd while bringing the goods. After the show I thanked her for her interview and she said, "Keep doing what you do." That meant a lot to me...

The next night The Cranberries returned to Chicago after a long hiatus. Although the crowd had many straight and douchie boys in it, the music was in top form with Dolores playing their many memorable songs plus new ones from the album Roses.
The same night at the exact same time The Polyphonic Spree were performing at the Park West. Their upbeat music was just as good live and the back up singers shook their hair like a hair band!

I returned to the Park West the next night to see Mayer Hawthorn.
His retro style with such songs as "The Walk" really rock my world. He made Hennessy and ginger ale cocktails onstage to his tune of the same title.
He has style and I hope his star continues to rise in the music world.

Kiss 103.5's Fantabuloso concert brought in many musical acts to the Allstate Arena. I chatted with several of the singers including Neon Hitch and Dev who both have well played hits on the radio. Havana Brown, although new is in constant rotation for her song with Pitbull. Lots of fans were dressed in caution tape to see Adam Lambert.
The night finished with Enrique Iglesias climbing over me on the stage to dance on boxes for the stage. Who could ask for more?
