It's the last week of the second month of the year, can you believe it?  Spring will be here before you know it.  If you suffered from Cabin Fever this year, there's no one to blame because there's always something going on - so get out there and have some fun!



THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 25

The 3rd Annual Chicago Restaurant Week continues through Sunday.  Head to one of the more than 170 participating establishments for deals like a $22 prix fixe lunch or $32 for dinner.

Head to Spin at 8PM for the kick-off of the 2nd annual "Gays Got Talent" qualifying contest.  There are only two chances for you to get into the Big Talent Show at Sidetrack on March 20th, so get your best talent ready and head out tonight.  Check the site for full details.

The Chicago Area Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce are holding their monthly Mix-n-Mingle tonight at Jack's on Halsted.  You like to party in Boystown, why not get involved in the community too. $20 for members, $30-non.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 26

Head to Berlin from 10:30 to 11:55 tonight to catch "Nightcaps" it's comedy, burlesque, live music.  The Puterbaugh Sisterz will host and queer comedian Adam Guerino will make his burlesque debut.  $5 at the door and includes the After Party.

International Mr. Leather 2010 is right around the corner, so head to Cell Block this weekend to see who will be the new Cell Block Leatherman.  Meet and greet tonight at 10:30pm, contest tomorrow at 11PM.  The winner will compete in the International Mr. Leather contest later this year.



Women OutLoud! an open-mic for women and women-identified writers, poets and performers will meet at Deta's Cafe - 7555 N Ridge Blvd.  Starts at 7PM and will be followed by writer sarwat rumi.  $5 at the door.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 27

Chicago Dragons, our very own gay Rugby Football Club, are hosting the 2010 Miss Ruck & Maul Pageant from 5-8PM at Sidetrack.  $20 in advance will get you into all the fun and get you a few drinks. I love their tagline "He's a rugger on the pitch, in the bar she's a BITCH!"

I'm not quite sure how to explain Reggie Watts.  He's a beatboxer, a Youtube Star and creates music on the fly.  He's at the Lakeshore Theater today and tomorrow.  Tix are $18 and can be purchased online.  Check out this video

The Center on Halsted hosts their monthly Transcinema this evening starting at 5:30.  Stop by this 18+ plus free casual movie night for those who identify as transgender or have questions concerning gender identity.  The movie is followed by a discussion.  FREE

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28

It's your last chance to ice skate at Wrigley Field...well technically NEXT to Wrigley Field.  $10 entry, skate rental is available.  Check the site for full details, but hurry before it melts.

If you haven't taken the time yet to honor Black History month there are still a couple of great exhibits that you can catch.  Navy Pier is hosting "An Exhibition of Pride" while the Museum of Science and Industry hosts "Black Creativity 2010: Taking Charge of YOU!"

Head to Women & Children First Books for a Buffy Discussion Group at 2PM.  Violence as the Ultimate Trump Card: What it means to be the Slayer" will be the topic of discussion.  Check the site for a full list of resources.
