Poem: Addicted

Fri. July 30, 2004

By Ana

Was it her eyes that drew me in

Could have been her smile

Maybe it was the now empty bottle of gin

The music was to blame

It could have been the summer heat

Who cares I bear no shame

Her kisses made me melt

Her touch caused such sweet pain

It’s like nothing I’d ever felt

There’s no turning back now

The hunger is too intense

I can’t focus, don’t longer know how

She haunts my dreams each night

And fills my thoughts each day

She’s an addiction I can’t fight

I’ll let her drug fill my veins

Let her touch heal the aching pain

And give her control to drive me insane
