Summer in Chicago can be described in one word, short.

With an endless stream of festivals and all sorts of reasons to get out and enjoy the weather, Chicagoans really make all of their summer days. From downtown at the Grant Park Petrillo Shell and the soon to open Frank Gehry designed amphitheater at Millennium Park to up North at the Ravinia festival. There are plenty of opportunities to pack a picnic and eat under the stars, enjoying the season.
