Traveling to Oklahoma is a snap these days with daily direct flights from Chicago, Illinois. Upon arriving, IHG Hotels & Resorts offers an upscale environment to settle into at 121 South Elgin Avenue. Hotel Indigo Tulsa is a boutique establishment with all the right perks and amenities for guests.

Location is key and this downtown property is on Santa Fe Square in the Blue Dome District. Conveniently just steps from bars, restaurants and local shops, Indigo is the only way to go when looking for activities.

Valet parking is optional at the front and as one enters the lobby, a small shop is just to the right for specialty items. To the left is the friendly front desk staff who are available to answer questions and make check-in a smooth process.

Pass by Prospect Local Bar and Kitchen on the first floor of the lobby, where travelers can stop to try locally sourced food. Head up to the sixth floor for a breathtaking sunset view at Roof Sixty Six. At night, this hot spot can heat up with party people enjoying craft cocktails six stories up in the air on a balcony. A strategically placed door separates the noise from the rooms on the other wing of the sixth floor.

This 93-room hotel contains eye-popping art installations and murals throughout the various spaces. There are high vaulted cement ceilings above and modern, hardwood flooring below.

Premium rooms rule with king beds and a separate sofa bed for guests. Standard rooms present one king or two queen-sized beds in a 325-square-foot space and connecting rooms are optional. Several comfy pillows and cloudy white bedding will have weary sightseers sleeping in no time at all.

There are multiple lamps throughout each room and the backlighting along the headboards offsets the stark fluorescent bulbs. The bathroom allows makeup artists to bask in a ring light and overhead lighting to bathe in.

The walk-in shower is equipped with dual heads for options to wash off in and standard complimentary soap and shampoo are nearby for convenience.

Coffee, water and a separate desk area add to the accommodations for those who need to work while away from their offices.

Little touches like a water station at the entrance and fire pits on the upstairs wrap-around balcony all add to the overall experience at this outstanding location.

For travelers to T-Town, Hotel Indigo is the only way to go when seeking shelter from the outside world.

Hotel Indigo Chicago-Vernon Hills and Hotel Indigo Naperville Riverwalk are both located in Illinois. To book a reservation more information can be found at ihg.com.
