Pull List for 8/7/13

Wed. August 7, 2013

By Danny Bernardo

Can you believe it's August already? Where did the summer go?! While Boystown gears up for Market Days this weekend, gay geeks have the added stress of having to choose between that and going to Wizard World: Chicago Comic Convention. For those who want to get both their gay and geek fix, might I suggest heading to the next Geeks OUT event at Spin on August 17? Flame On! will be an end of summer BBQ on the patio of Spin from 4p-8p. It's gonna be awesome!

When you head to the shop this week, make sure to pick up Kevin Keller #10 in which Kevin receives his first kiss, much to the chagrin of a One Million Moms type organization. I'll be reviewing it shortly, but I'd love to know your thoughts!

And now...onto the books:

All New X-Men #15, $3.99

(W) Brian Michael Bendis?(A/CA) Stuart Immonen??

Love is in the air! Cyclops heart and future start to fade before his eyes.

Earth 2 #15, $2.99

(W) James Robinson (A) Nicola Scott, Trevor Scott (CA) Juan Doe Dr. Fate, Red Arrow, The Flash, Green Lantern and The Atom all fall victim to the Hunger Dogs of Apokolips as the war against the forces of Steppenwolf continues!

Hawkeye #11 vol 4 second print, $2.99

(W) Matt Fraction?(A/CA) Francesco Francavilla??

THE breakout character of 2012... becomes the breakout character of 2013... as PIZZA DOG gets his own issue. Literally... the entire issue... it's all from the dog's point-of-view. Pizza Dog gets hired to solve a crime -- the grizzly murder that shocked Team Hawkguy -- and the only thing more shocking than THAT... is what happens the end of THIS. Seriously. This is not a joke! Even the coloring. Dog issue. We're all gettin' fired. PLEASE READ... 'Pizza is my Business' ...before it's too late for us.

Kevin Keller #10, $2.99

(W) Dan Parent ?(A) Dan Parent,?Rich Koslowski?(CA) Dan Parent

'A Kiss isn't Just a Kiss!'-We've all heard of PDA (public displays of affection), and how sometimes it's appropriate, but other times it goes too far. When Kevin gives Devon a simple goodbye kiss, reactions ignite in peculiar fashion. And when one person overreacts, the debate begins: what's appropriate and what is not. What's even more surprising is who's on Kevin's side of the debate - and it's not someone who you would think! So pucker up, and enjoy the next chapter of Kevin's adventures in Riverdale!

X-Factor #260, $2.99

(W) Peter David?(A) Neil Edwards?(CA) David Yardin??

The End of X-Factor, Part 4 of 6 Peter David's epic tale, decades in the telling, draws near its close... Sibling rivalry between Polaris & Quicksilver.
