”Shorts on the Beach” Grab your beach blankets and chairs and come on over to Hollywood Beach to see the best and funniest shorts selections from Reeling. This must-see program features the 2006 Planet Out Short Movie Awards Grand Prize Winner, Sissy Frenchfry, the Planet Out Best Documentary Winner, Irene Williams, Queen of Lincoln Road, and several other shorts, each one more entertaining than the last. Come early, stay late! Trolleys will be available throughout the Andersonville and Edgewater neighborhoods to take you to and from the Beach. Before the Screening, stop by our Andersonville Hospitality Welcome Center at estudiotres gallery, 5205 N. Clark St. from 4 PM to 8 PM, see the exhibition (of gay male bodies!), enjoy cocktails, pick up a map of Andersonville and Edgewater, and catch a trolley back to the beach to see the movies. The beach festivities will begin at 8 PM with musical selections from Chicago’s own Lakeside Pride. The movies will follow at sundown. Presented by the Edgewater & Andersonville Chambers of Commerce and Reeling: The Chicago Lesbian & Gay International Film Festival through the Chicago Park District's Movies in the Park program.
