In this “instant queer teen comedy classic� (Attitude Magazine) seventeen-year-old Luthando, an adorkable bookish scholarship student at a prestigious South African girls’ boarding school, always follows the rules to protect her future and fulfill her single mother’s hopes. But everything changes when she falls for the charismatic new student, Ayanda, whose charm and confidence inspires Luthando to embrace a new sense of freedom and queer joy. As first love, jealousy, and the school’s rigid expectations collide, Luthando risks losing her scholarship, her future, and her mother’s trust.
