In an artfully shot film that studies the nature of identity and the ability to seek close relationships in the modern world, a young man in Hong Kong goes on a series of sexual encounters. Before, during, and afterwards, he tries to learn everything he can about each person and their lives, only to impersonate them at his next hookup. Even when his walls begin to come down, he still refuses to give a true image of himself to any of these people, insisting on continuing his performance. Perhaps the only way for him to truly be himself is through pretending to be someone else.
