Set in 1960s Spain, CENSURADA tells the hopeful love story of Salome, a piano player in rural Spain who joins the church as an organist after her brother’s death. When Salome meets Miranda, an open-minded young woman with a fiery attitude and a knack for breaking her mother’s rules, Salome’s world becomes bright again. As the two begin to spend time together, Miranda inspires confidence in Salome to pursue her musical dreams, while Salome helps Miranda open up enough to soften her hard edges. Soon, Salome’s soul is ignited by a fire she has never known before, inspiring her to write a song for a local contest that could win them enough money to start a life together. As local tensions and rumors arise, Salome and Miranda must fight for the love that they believe in.
