Market Days: DJ Sam Gee

DJ Sam Gee headlines the ViiV Healthcare’s Hydrate Stage at Market Days, starting at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 13.

Sam Gee started his career as a DJ in 2019, but his affinity for music started at a very young age — singing and playing various instruments, including the piano. His DJ career blossomed at an exponential rate, booking events internationally and all over the US.

“The diversity and energy of Chicago parties really stands out to me. Every time I’ve been (to the city), it feels like everybody is positive, open and ready to have a good time,” Gee told GoPride.com. “I am very excited to be playing at Market Days; I know how much fun it is."

The 41st annual Northalsted Market Days, which is organized by the Northalsted Business Alliance, runs Saturday, Aug. 12 and Sunday Aug. 13 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. along N. Halsted St. from Addison St. south to Belmont Ave.

A $20 suggested donation is recommended. Donations support local nonprofits and fund community projects like the Chicago Pride Crosswalks. A $50 VIP Pass with express entry is available for purchase at northalsted.com.
