Frankie Knuckles Day - Chicago SummerDance

Grammy Award winner and D/E partner, Frankie Knuckles, will be honored with a street dedication and presentation by Alderwoman Madeline Haithcock before his appearance at the Chicago Summer Dance DJ In the Park Series. The Street Dedication is at Noon, Southwest corner of Jefferson & Adams, with the presentation later at 6:30 p.m., Grant Park (between Harrison & Balbo). The eighth annual Chicago SummerDance festival of public dancing to a variety of live music outdoors in the (Grant Park) Spirit of Music Garden, 601 S. Michigan Avenue. The Wednesday night DJ series features local and national DJs spinning various styles of electronic music. The series runs June 23-Aug. 25 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
