Hamish, a slick, handsome young businessman (model and musician turned actor Cosmo Jarvis) has traveled from England to a tiny, windswept village in Ireland to sell the home he inherited from his aunt. A fatal car crash on the misty highways of Donegal finds Hamish making an unexpected connection with Evan (Rhys Mannion), one of the survivors. A strange attachment develops between the teenage boy and the formidable, brooding Hamish. As the friendship and an unspoken connection to the land where his mother was raised intensifies, Hamish is forced to confront his self-destructive core and face the truth of his existence. Antonia Campbell-Hughes’ directorial debut is a moody capsule of hyper-masculinity, grounded by the star-making, bottled-up performance by Cosmo Jarvis.
