Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival presents Intimacies (Short Programs).
Intimacy describes a closeness and familiarity shared between two humans. From love at first sight to childbirth and group sex, these shorts run the gamut of what it means to get intimate. In POOL BOY a college jock home for the summer catches feelings for his parent’s non-binary pool cleaner. In DOMESTIQUE a young man adjusts to the routine of partnered, domestic life. In LIMINAL a man lives his past and present concurrently. In NOAH’S SONG a transgender man comes out to his partner. In PINK & BLUE a trans couple wrestles with raising a baby in a binary world. In I JUST WISH YOU TOLD ME an unexpected death forces a widow to make sense of the hidden truths of their relationship. In FCK (FRIENDS CAN’T KISS) two gay friends and a lesbian couple find themselves in sticky emotional territory when the former sleep together and the later brings a third into the mix.
