An eclectic program of stunning short films from Brazil. In AFTER THAT PARTY, young Leo runs into his father unexpectedly on a night out – and is shocked to learn he’s been keeping a secret. Danny and Seiji meet at a different party in INFINITE WHILE IT LASTS, and their attraction is immediate, but is attraction enough? Laura unplugs from parties and social media in TAMAGOTCHI, and finds a connection with stargazer Agatha that seems almost too good to be true. THE ORPHAN is a recently adopted boy named Jonathas who doesn’t fit his new family’s expectations; this affecting drama won the Queer Palm Award at the Cannes Film Festival. Lastly, an episode of the documentary series INSPIRE THE NIGHT follows the festivities of the titular BATEKOO, an Afro-Brazilian collective whose legendary parties became a political touchstone for the black LGBTQ+ movement in Brazil.
