Saturday, June 15, 2019, 10:00 PM - 11:30 PM | view details and directions
Serenity Now is a drug/alcohol-free comedy show, featuring some of the country's best sober comedians. Whether you're abstaining from substances permanently, or just want a break from the boozy bars, this is your opportunity to see a stellar comedy show in a drug and alcohol-free environment. The June 15 show is headlined by Chicago favorite, Tim Cox. Originally from Philly, Tim Cox is a Chicago-based stand-up comedian, emcee, and producer known for his clever joke writing, natural timing, and clean delivery. With a background in philosophy and politics, Tim brings a uniquely smart perspective to his comedy, with a gay twist. Whether exploring the complexities of being from a family of thirteen, the follies of young adulthood, or the stability of his thirties, Tim's quick wit keeps audiences engaged with laughter and thought. Regional credits include The Laugh Factory, Zanies, The Comedy Bar, iO Theatre, The Second City, and The Annoyance Theatre. In addition to Chicago's main-stays, Tim performs regularly in clubs around the U.S. and has featured in a number of festivals. Tim co-founded the hit weekly show, Verified Laughs, at Laugh Factory Chicago, and produces one of Chicago's most exclusive independent showcases, Laughs 'n Drafts, at The University Club of Chicago. $10 tickets are available at the door. The Crowd accepts cash, credit, and Venmo. Free sparkling water with ticket purchase while supplies last! Seating is general admission. The Crowd is a second floor, black box theater -- for accessibility questions, please contact the venue directly.
