Chicago Canine Rescue has rescued and rehabilitated over 6,000 dogs (and even some cats here and there) so that’s a lot of happy, healthy people AND pets because of efforts from volunteers, donors and the community. Our mission is to save the lives of injured, neglected and unloved, homeless dogs in the Chicago area and from around the Midwest. ? On Saturday, October 20, 2018, hundreds of dog lovers will fill the streets of Southport Corridor in Chicago for a fun-filled, 80’s themed, block party and 1.5-mile walk. Grab your furry best friend and get ready to party like it’s 1985. Your dog will only silently judge your outfit selection. "The Southport Corridor" in Lakeview, Chicago, IL 1350 West Newport Avenue, Chicago, IL 60657 Parking near this event is limited. Please allow extra time when arriving by car. Southport Ave is a metered parking street 9AM - 9PM. Parking on all neighboring streets is free and does not require a permit until 6pm. The Brown Line El Southport stop is very near the event.
