DJ Laura B spins Hydrate Nightclub in Boystown. Set begins at 11:30 p.m., late night party until 4 a.m. Lights by VJ George G. Packed dance floors and long lines prevail at clubs when Laura B is spinning. Her energetic sound has had the crowds moving in the clubs since 1982 in Chicago. This has kept Laura B a buzz and moved the “Bee” into Queen Bee status. Her experience has kept her working hard hailing over 10 years of residency at several clubs including Excalibur/Vision Chicago’s largest Nightclub and Hydrate Nightclub Chicago’s premier gay club. Long – term residencies also include Manhole and Hunters. Along the way Laura reigned in Chicago with several live mix show from clubs airing on Q101 Alternative Beats and Energy 97. Prerecorded mix sets were heard on B96 and several Internet radio shows. Inside the “Beehive” a new style of syndicated mix show is currently in development for her. The clubs are not the only place she continues to thrive using her musical expertise. For over 20 years she has provided her skills for Runway Fashion Shows in Chicago including pre production planning and sound engineer. She has always and continues to host and spin for private and corporate events. Recently, she has begun working on remixing and producing her own tracks. She works in collaboration with DJ Val (Chicago) under the name “Spinsters”, and releases are set for 2015. Laura B is a mentor to new DJs and hosts a weekly DJ contest for up and coming DJs, offering advice and expertise.
