2018 Equality Rally at Midsommarfest

The second annual Chicago Equality Rally will take place at the Balmoral Pride Stage on Sunday, June 10 at 12PM. The Rally aims to unify people with a mission to make change towards equal treatment, protection, and access for all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or immigrant status. This year’s Equality Rally will feature speaker State Representative Greg Harris, Rick Garcia and Lori Lightfoot, Alderman Harry Osterman, the Senn High School Orchestra, and student dancers from Peirce Elementary. While we may each believe this abstractly or understand the need for change theoretically, this rally serves to put human experience at the forefront of the issue of inequality. We see storytelling as humanizing and believe in the power of the personal.
