Workshop: The Director's Journey (An Auteur Approach)

Get in on this one-day directing workshop at Chicago Filmmakers with award-winning director Morgan Jon Fox (Feral, Blue Citrus Hearts)! Students will receive an overview of a realistic, practical path towards becoming a director. This master class will be geared towards those who are interested in taking more of an Auteur approach - being a hands on writer/director. We will focus on telling small, original stories that can be shot with little to no budget and serve as the building blocks towards finding your intuitive voice as a director. You'll be advised on how to craft these stories, how to properly cast, what to prioritize during production and post-production and in general when's the right time to make the projects you care about the most.
