No one celebrates PRIDE better than Northalsted. Chicago Pride Fest 2016 features Jordin Sparks, Daya, Dumblonde, and many more performing in Boystown this June 18-19th. Chicago Pride Fest starts on Saturday, June 18th when American Idol Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks performs. Sparks is best known for her duet "No Air" with Chris Brown, and "One Step at a Time," both of which were released back in 2007. On Sunday, June 19, former Danity Kane members Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex take the stage as Dumblonde. Their indie pop debut has strong dance and alternative influences reminiscent of acts like The Ting Tings and La Roux. Daya, best-known for her leading single "Hide Away", is also part of the Sunday line-up. Other performers over the two-day festival include: Boy Band Review, Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus, Chicago Spirit Brigade, Emii, Fabio Campos, Goldhouse, Jason Maek & Zaena, Lakeside Pride Orchestra, Luciana, My Gold Mask, One Night Band, Rod Tuff Curls, Sushi Roll and Wedding Banned. In addition, the perennially popular Pride Pet & Family Parade at 12:30PM on Sunday Funday, hosted by Miss Foozie will open the second day of the festival. Chicago Pride Fest, which is organized by the Northalsted Business Alliance, runs June 18-19 on Halsted Street between Addison and Grace. A $10 donation is recommended. The Chicago Pride Parade is the following Sunday, June 26 at noon.
