Driving Not Knowing

Lee, a sensitive musician battling some inner demons, is in love with ambitious poet Will. Volatile and intense, Will is hesitant to make himself vulnerable to Lee’s affection, but after a year apart, the two reunite for a weekend at Lee’s home in the country with a lot of other friends on hand. Complicating matters, Will has brought along a girlfriend and Lee seems distracted by both his music and his love life. Not knowing how to be free and connected at the same time, Lee and Will struggle to define their relationship. This intimate, semi-autobiographical look at friendships and gender boundaries set to a killer soundtrack was co-directed by close-knit friends and professional comrades in arms and is a refreshing example of gay mumblecore.
