I Am In Love - Special Anniversary Presentation

A fifth anniversary screening of this lavish, critically hailed portrait of a wealthy and powerful Italian family on the brink of change. Queer audience fave Tilda Swinton stars as the family matriarch, the Russian born daughter of an art dealer who is inspired by the budding lesbian romance of her daughter to begin her own illicit affair with a hunky chef. But an internal struggle over control of the family business and a homoerotic undercurrent in the relationship of Swinton’s son and the chef lead to complications and eventual tragedy. A feast for the eyes and ears (the score comes courtesy of modern classical composer John Adams), this collaboration between Guadagnino and Swinton is a sensualist’s delight.
