Film legend Geraldine Chaplin is riveting as Anne, a wealthy older French woman, who is enchanted with Noeli, a young woman who makes a living, along with her boyfriend, from the visitors to the scenic beach town where they live in the Dominican Republic. When Anne promises to take Noeli with her back to Europe, her young lover must decide between her improverished life at home or a the prospect of being a kept woman abroad.
