Daniel Armando (US, 2014, 85 min) In this haunting, lyrical film, Hollywood actress Adina returns back home to New York, leaving behind a high-profile crumbling marriage. She finds solace in her old friend Toni, who lives in Brooklyn. While staying with Toni, Adina reminisces about her painful youth in New York, understanding her sexual identity, being cast out by her conservative Latina mother, and how she met Toni. Before Adina can be comfortable with who she is, she has to reconcile her painful past, and her estranged mother, and piece together her past and present identities to form a whole.
