With more than 150,000 visitors from Chicagoland and far beyond, Market Days is one of the largest outdoor events in the country and draws a vibrant mix of gays and lesbians of all ages and backgrounds. The North Halsted area of Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood is one of the city's most popular year-round dining and nightlife destinations for both city residents and visitors. This popularity gets magnified during Northalsted Market Days® -- the Midwest's largest two-day street festival. Market Days spans four city blocks and has 17 entrance gates. The event features three main music stages where more than 40 top-name local and national music acts perform. Besides its reputation for the best live music and people-watching in Chicago, Market Days is also famous for its unique mix of nearly 300 food and arts and crafts vendors.
