During a restless Chicago summer, an alleged serial killer is stalking the streets, preying on gay men in the Boystown neighborhood. But neither Kurt nor Paul seem to care – in love and lust and without a lack of money thanks to Kurt’s successful pot-dealing business. The duo spends their free time having fun, making love and getting high. But when Paul is late to a party one night, Kurt falls under the spell of a sexy male customer who makes his intentions clear. Kurt’s indiscretion threatens to not only derail the relationship with Paul but inadvertently puts both in the path of the mysterious killer. Chicago based writer-director C.M. Birkmeier makes an impressive debut with this locally shot gay mumblecore cross between Blue Valentine and Weekend.
