Geography Club
Based on Brent Hartinger’s best-selling, critically acclaimed novel, Geography Club is a smart, fast and funny account of contemporary teens as they discover their own sexual identities, dreams, and values. Sixteen year-old Russell is still going on dates with girls while having a secret relationship with dreamy football quarterback Kevin who will do anything to prevent his football teammates from finding out. Min and Terese tell everyone they’re just good friends while Ike can’t quite figure out who he is or who he wants to be with. Finding the truth too hard to hide these endearing misfits form the school’s first LGBT club – dubbing it the Geography Club, thinking nobody else will want to join them. But in high school, as in life, the closet door is hard to keep closed and soon they may have to face revealing who they really are to the world. Ana Gasteyer, Scott Bakula, Nikki Blonsky, Cameron Stewart (Pitch Perfect), and Glee’s Alex George Newell are part of the line-up in this delightfully original dramedy. Outfest winner – Audience Award, First U.S. Dramatic Feature.
